lost..??? any ideas on how to fix?

I put some gas in my truck today, jumped in the truck turned my head lights on and my mileage and dash lights went out...



turn them off, dash lights come on...



i have no idea whats going on...

Worst thing is it's probably intermittent, like most electrical problems. (Contacts) :angry:

Sorta a long shot, but give the large, 70 wire or so, chassis to dash plug a squeeze or shake. It is accessible from under the dash but up inside kinda behind and above the parking brake. It can be seen,but not accessed, on an angle behind the fuse panel. I have an '04 and the fuel gauge fails periodically and I finally narrowed it down to the above plug.

You don't have the light dimmer turned all the way down do you?

check the fuses on the driver side dash panel. Probably got one going.

I found my lights were going on and off and acting strange a few months ago. I then noticed the Sunroof drain hose was popped off and water had been seeping in and it must have done a number on electrical things. After drying everything out it seems to be back to normal.

hmm... not sure what it was, but i havent been able to get it to mess up again... haha i dunno what happen

If it isn't the dimmer control then I'd say you have a bad ground somewhere.
