Loose shifter

I had a Dodge years ago and the column shifter was attached with a large pin that slowly worked its way out. I simply pushed it back in. Try this and, if it works, remove the pin and give it a medium smack with a hammer to widen it a bit, then replace. (This assumes you can get to the pin.)

You should be able to buy a new roll pin at a hardware. The new one may fit tighter as long as the hole is not wollered out if so drill it to the next size. You can use the new one to push the old one out. Tap gentle as you can, the mounting is usually pot metal..

Roll Pins are a very hard material. I seriously doubt that the pin itself has worn. It may be the shift collar and or the shifter that has worn.
