Leaking Tonneau Cover

I have an '05 with a factory cover. Has anyone had problems with this type of cover leaking? If you have, how did you fix it?

Where is it leaking? At the hinge or where it seals on the bed?



If at the bed, you can adjust the brackets in the corners of the bed to adjust fit, (assuming the gaskets themselves are not the issue).



If the hinge, not much you can do as the rubber does seem to fail over time. I know of others that have gone to a salvage yard and gotten the rubber from a busted up cover.

I tried loosening and lowering the latches plus I added some camper shell weatherstripping to the hinge area on both sides and in the middle. It didn't stop the leaks, but it did help.

Mine leaked along the seam because the rivits started comming loose. I drilled them out and replaced with 1/4-20 macine screws and haven't had an issue since.
