Keypad Entry

My driver door keypad stopped working several months ago. Does not light up or anything. Is anyone aware of a common fail point for this device?

Mine has been the same way for over a year. I thought it might of been faulty wiring in the door to truck connection inside the door jam. I tried the keypad as I opened and closed the door, and it made no difference, so not sure what it could be. Maybe bad keypad?

There is a pink/black wire in the driver door jam inside the black rubber boot. Pull the boot back and look threw the bundle of wires until you find the pk/blk wire, I bet its broken. I figured this out after replacing the door lock switch and actuator. Save some money and check the wire 1st.
