I don't know about #2, it leaves out the poor quality of work done by illegal hispanics that I've constantly encountered. They might construct those buildings fast, but the speed comes at the price of quality.

I am Mexican and took no offense to #2 or any other one for that matter. KL, not to defend immigrant workers but as with any corporation, the quality of the product is typically the direct result of the ability (or inability) of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control department along with the direct presence (or lack of) of the team supervisor(s). Just my .02 .

No. Steotypes persist because they are easy crutches for those who are too lazy to go out and discover the actual truth.

Kyle, I was not offended by your jokes, however I think you need to know your audience before you tell jokes related to racial stereotypes....since that can be very sensitive to some, and to others, not so much.



I think it is good when people can laugh at themselves a little and can find humor in almost everything, but you have to be aware of the sensitivity of some subjects related to race. Even many white people are offended by racial stereotype jokes about blacks, hispanics, asians, or arabs.



I realize that you meant no harm, but still some people will be offended since this is not the best forum for those kinds of jokes.

I guess I was drawing on my own expeiance. A few years back. The discusion was about products from China.

Well, I said, crappy chinese products. One of our members got hot. I know who it was, I wont tell. I was scolded by an admin. In a personal email and asked to change the word to china not chinese.



I hope this blurt doesnt get me in trouble. 'Cause I was told to drop it and not mention it on this board.
