I bought some neon lights for my sport trac. They are interior lights. They have the ability to pulse to the sound of the music. I have been told that I need to hook them up to my stereo system. There are only 2 wires. A black and red wire. I have a factory stereo system. Can anybody give any advice on how to install these?

Red to a switched +12V, Black to a ground. To ability to pulse to sound waves is internal and does not need to be hooked up to speaker wires, electronically, that makes no sense.

If it's a 2001-2005, you could run the red wire through the hole in the firewall on the drivers side to the fuse block next to the brake booster. On the fuse block, there is a separate compartment with 2 bolt studs with nuts. Those are a constant 12V source. For the black wire, you can attach it to almost any screw under the dash as a good ground point.
