@#$%ing German Engineering! Audi Parts needed

The oil filter canister in the Audi A4(wife's car) is plastic:angry: and it just fell apart while I was taking it out for an oil change. I need the Oil filter canister for a 2006 Audi A4 2.0 Turbo. The dealer doesn't have it; It will take until next Thursday to get one. If anyone can help with getting one ASAP I will appreciate it!

use www.car-parts.com to locate an salvage yard that has Audi's near you. It will not list that specific part so choose something like a mirror or rim for example.



Then call them and get the part from them..

I checked the salvage yards. Nobody has that part anywhere around here. I would pay for overnight!

Found this, cost 799.00. Replaces the entire unit with an aluminum cover and adds a remote oil cooler as well.



The plastic part was listed for 150 dollars..



Guess it depends on if you intend to keep the Audi or sell it..
