I recently have had a problem. When I turn on my A/C it seems to overload the engine. It sound like the compressor is cliking in and out and my rpm go from 500 to about 10 and then kicks back up. What could this be? thanks in advanced.

Just as you stated. The compressor is kicking in and causing the RPM's to drop. Could be a couple of things. You may need to recharge the AC, or the IAC needs cleaned. I do both. The IAC, you can do yourself, and have the AC checked.;)

Boodro, as stonemiser said, the IAC or the AC. My AC was cycling alot (it seemed to me) and I bought an R134a recharge kit (freon and guage set) for less than 20.00 at Advanced Auto.... connected it and the guage said I was at the lower limits of "ok". I charged it to almost the upper limits and now I have cold air and no cycling.....

it's definately worth a shot since you also have an 01.
