I ran into a cone this morning a big one. Scratched the hell out of my passenger fender my bumper and the side of my bed. The scratches looked pretty bad thought I had to repaint it. But I tried wet sanding with some 3000 then buffed and polished it and now it's better then new actually. lol. I guess the moral of this story is try wet sanding and polishing scratches before getting it painted.

I never did the wetsand, but I have used pretty abrasive polishes with my Porter Cable buffer. It's cool to see the clearcoat go from milky to flawless between abrasive and finishing polish and sealant. Of course, after one week, it's no longer flawless. But, for that moment, it's pretty sweet.
