Good one. Use a church key or flat blade screwdriver to open? Remember dropping a few cans, very slippery with oily fingers.

^ So true. Or computers. Plugs, points, condenser, rotor, and straight weight oil. Of course my "land sled" 1979 Ranchero had a 351M (5.8L) V8 that put out a "whopping" 151 HP compared to our 4.0L SOHC V6 @ 210 HP. Engine power and fuel efficiency today is mind boggling. Anyone remember this CRAP? If not, you're not missing anything. A true blunder.

The EPA caused auto makers to detune our motors, for emmisions. All it created was less HP and burned more gas. IMO burning more fuel consumtion probably dumped more bad into the atmosphere.
Im glad for the smart auto engineers. They worked the kinks out and gave us the performance and MPG. Without the EPA input.
