How do I remove the bed top rails?

I am installing LED lights in the bed of my new Sport Trac. In my previous 2 Sport Tracs I ran the wires around the inside of the cargo bed. This time I would like to have a more "finished" look and drill holes into the bed and run the wires around the gap between the body and the bed, but I need to access from the top of the bed to do this.



Does anyone know how to remove the caps that run down the left and right top of the cargo bed?

They just snap on, you just have to remove the 3 tie downs and you a plastic coated flat tip screwdriver to pop them off. There might be a tool out there but that's how I did mine with no little to no damage.

Thanks - I didn't want to pry them and risk damage. I only have 1600 miles on it! I plan to finish the project this weekend.
