homemade speed grille

hey the other day i found the project for a homeade speed grille. I was wondering if there was anyway to put clips on it because i don't wan't any gawdy wire poking out from my grille. I figured you could just cut a strand on the gaurds and bend around to hold on grille.

i had one on my truck for a while, i thought it looked fine until a couple months later it got all black and nasty. i upgraded to a billet grille and looking back on the homemade speed grille i see how fugly the thing was...i'd say go big or don't do it, you get what you pay for..
