help..clicking noise when braking

Help...recently when I am braking I hear a loud clicking sound. What could this be?

Is it one "click" or "click-click-click ..." and for how long?

click click click until i stop. but only when i apply brake.

Check the anti-rattle clips, on the pads to caliper. Possible the pads are loose. Moving up and down in the mounting.

Caliper anchor plate bolts? (Not sliders)

Put front end up on stands, pull off wheels and inspect your brakes. If you're getting a strange noise that means something ain't right. Brakes are critical - but they're designed to wear out. Don't put it off.

I have a friend that had similar and the caliper bolt was working loose. finally gave way and jammed the wheel in place, skidding to a stop ruining the rim and a tire.
