Headlights

This morning i turn the headlights on in my truck,2003 sport trac, and only one headlight turn on. So i took the headlight off and replace the buld with a new one and still the light didnt work. Anyone know what the problem might be.

trace the wires, it sounds basic, but I do not think its a fuse issue, like other vehicles.

(Be prepared for some sarcism) Look at the HARNESS UPGRADE project; I think the originator has pictures of the headlight wiring

On some cars the right and left headlights are fused seperately. I don't know if that is the case with the Trac.

Does the high beam come on at all?



It could be the column switch and or a relay as well..

MikeC is correct. The headlights are fused separately. In the Power Distribution Box (engine compartment) the LH low beam is #38, the RH low beam is #42, both are 10 amp minis. The Passenger Compartment Fuse Panel has the High beam fuse, #33 it is 15 amps.
