Banks are closed in the US, because it is Columbus Day. It is a Federal holiday.

Nelson--It's NOT Columbus Day--that's not until Wednesday. Today is just the day the banks and government choose to observe it. In all actuality, they're really just celebrating something that is far more important in modern-day America--the three-day weekend.



I wonder when they're going to start "observing" Christmas, New Year's, and Independence Day on Mondays?
