So last week in another post I stated my fuel pump died. I had it towed to my mechanic, and had it replaced. Two days ago, again the trac died. I had it towed to my mechanic. The tank was dropped and the pump was examined, it was fine. The culprit was the fuel pump module. Apparently it is mounted right near the spare tire. It was heavily corroded and the elctronics were open to the elements. This is just an fyi, that you might want to see if there is corrosion on or near yours. Thanks.

I hate to say it but a good mechanic. Would inspect all fuel components before, throwing parts at it.

The module and labor should be, free. IMO............ complain, complain, complain..I would.

Agree, especially doing a labor intensive fuel pump, TWICE.

Seems to be more of a PITA time consuming job, than it is difficult.

A "good" mechanic shouldn't jump to conclusions by changing parts.
