Fuel pump has been on the fritz for several years now,am certain it is nothing more than a 5 cent checkvalve:angry:

Do you think you can access the pump by removing the bed VS/ dropping the tank?

If you have to reset the cutoff switch each time you have a prob with the pump......

it might very well be the switch.

Not the cutoff switch,is a bad checkvalve in the fuel pump, allows the gas to drain back in the tank.

Turn the key on and off several times, primes the system, all is well.

This is what I could see of the tank with the bed off of my 2002. Judge for yourself, noting the 03 may be a bit different. You'll be dropping the tank.

USN-ret, the switch operation may be affected by the position of the tailgate, just FYI.:cheeky:

Makes one want to cut an opening on that cross member to access the pump. Unfortunately, I am sure that would disrupt the integrity of the cross member in which the bed is bolted too.
