IMHO it is about a wash. In Minnesota where I live E85 runs about .30-.40 cents per gallon cheaper than normal 87 octane petro. E85 gives you about 18% less gas mileage - so if you calculate it out it's about a wash. I use it from time to time. Gas stations are hard to find that carry it. If you can find it under 2 Bucks a gallon - then, yes, I think you are saving money. I've never seen it cheaper than about $2.29 a gallon up here. Some others, in other states have reported it as low as $ 1.69 per gallon. I'd be using it all the time if it were that cheap here.
