Figured it was time for another fun "favorites" post. Comments welcome.

I've had similar posts with music, toys, and classic cars, with great response.

No rules. Please keep this light, and civil. All in fun. Thanks, and enjoy!

My top five:

1. The Wizard Of Oz (1939)

2. Back To the Future (1985)

3. Alien (1979)

4. The American President (1995)

5. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

6. Avatar (2010) Not! LOL

1) The Graduate

2) 007, In Her Majesty' service

3) McClintock

4) Star Wars, 1976

5) Miracle on 34th street, 199something-remake, original is great too!

We should've listened. :banghead: "The Graduate" circa 1967

Limiting to 5 could be tough but here goes. But not necessarily in order of preference.

The Vacation Series

Schindler's List

Back to the Future Series

The Grapes of Wrath

The Onion Field

Mac

No Time for Sargeants - 1958?

Mr Roberts

Animal House

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Beverly Hills Cops

The Hang Over was funny...

many others too many to list, should have been top 100 not in order...

I also saw Last Holiday at the theater a few years ago.

thought Queen Latifa and LL Cool J did a great job in those.

everytime it comes on TV now I seem to have to stop and watch it again...

In no particular order, and at least what I can think of at work:

Zoolander

Friday Night Lights

Blind Side (maybe because I just saw this one Monday)

8 mile

Wedding Crashers

Side note: "Big" Movies I haven't seen yet:

Any Matrix movies

Titanic

Transformers

Avatar

(and I have no real inclination to see these since too many people talked too much about them and tried pressuring me into seeing them, so it turned me off of these movies).

Good call on "Taking Chance", Redfish. That has to be one of the best movies ever made by HBO.:supercool:

1. The Godfather/The Godfather Part II

2. The Lord of the Rings trilogy

3. Animal House

4. Mr. Roberts

5. Bullitt

I noticed that most of us listed very few movies released after about 1990. Does that speak to the lack of quality product coming out of modern-day Hollywood, or our age? Personally, I think it's a lack of originality and quality in today's entertainment industry.

Sorry, I can't do top 5 of all time...heads not there at the moment.

I need to narrow the list to just Paul Newman movies:

1. Nobody's Fool

2. Absence of Malice

3. Slapshot

4. Cool Hand Luke

5. Road to Perdition

Probably the first on my list above makes it to the "Top 5 of all time" listing. Not sure what others would be on that list.

TJR

Here are mine..

1. Popeye (Robin Williams and Shelly Duvall)

2. Friday Series

3. Austin Powers Series

4. Back to the Future Series

5. Titanic

Tom

My list would probably frequently change. I agree with lots of the movies everyones listed. Just to throw out a few more that were really, really good:

Forest Gump

ET

Braveheart

Jaws

The Blues Brothers

Awesome guys! Some really great picks, and some not so great. LOL

You are diverse as they come, whether we agree or not. Always interesting.

Thanks for the great replies. Keep 'em coming!
