Escape Alternator change

I know why I love my Trac after taking a look at the Escape's engine bay.



The alternator quit charging. It looks like I've got to pull the right front wheel, half shaft and maybe i'll be able to get the thing out from behind the motor. :angry:



Anyone else tackled this monster before? How about if any special tools are required?

It's the 2002 with the 3.0L V-6.



It gives new meaning to the phrase small hands required.

No special tools need for this one but doing it on your back is gonna be a pain.
