engine light

good morning all,

ok here is one for ya. i purchaced a new 08 sport trac ( in may) leased my last one which was a 07. i have since had in the service dept 2x for same thing which was check engine light on. first time they said gas cap was not seated properly ok. sencond time they did a vapor test w/ blue smoke ok found nothing and reset ok.angain the light just came back on after a few weeks. so yes i'm going back. but the funny part is that gas mileage has gone up and the trac runs smoother go figure

I will tell you get rid of this vehicle as soon as you can. I bought my 2002 ST in June of 2005 from Alexander Ford in Frankin TN and it had a CEL before I ever got it off the lot. I should have told them to keep it then. Ford will not do anything for you. I think the dealer screwed me. I went in to get a new one and they could not get my payment where I wanted it but could on a used one

no rough idle, sputtering, anything of that sort??

My 08 STA does the same thing. I goes away after a day or so. Usually after I beat the truck No big deal imo.
