electrical issue

since i'm back at school now the truck doesn't get driven nearly as much. so today i get in to take a small trip down the road and the radio display is flickering like crazy...kinda like the difference in display lighting when you turn your headlamps on and off (brighter and dimmer)...never completely went black but it would almost do it in intervals of about 5 seconds when accelerating...5 seconds good, 5 seconds flickering...whats going on here? :wacko:

Sounds like a loose connection or ground.

Check to see if there is something covering your auto light sensors as well. It may be turning them on and off..

fast eddie - should i be checking the battery terminals? is this the ground you are talking about (i'm very electronically declined)



coastie - i do not have auto lights...'01 job 1...thank you though

Tap the front of the radio.... IT could be a bad bulb and the filament is bouncing between broken and completing the circuit..
