Drum brakes

The rear drums brakes are acting weird and every once in awhile they like lock and then make this loud noise and release. I got rear ended recently and now the car is fixed but I don't know if its related at all. Any ideas??

First step is pulling the rear drums off and having a look at what is going on inside of there. Maybe a broken spring or a worn out shoe???

Yea idk I might just take it back to the shop and say that I need the insurance to fix it because it got broke in the first place

I dought being rear ended. Caused the brake problem.

As scott said, pull the drum. It might be your park brake binding.
