Hi All,

I still have my old 01 ST with 187k but she's starting to give troubles. Today, the driver's side rear wndow decided it wanted to not go up any further than about halfway. It was moving very slowly until it just stopped. Nothing at the switch at that point, almost like its designed to stop if it overheats? It almost looks like the window has come out of the track? Anybody experience this and know if there is an easy fix? And of course it hasnt rained here in like 40 years and its supposed to rain all day today! Thanks for any input! Marsha

More than likely, the Regulator assembly is shot. Replacement part should probably be less than $50.

It is not tremendously difficult to install yourself if you have tools and a modest amount of skill and patience.

If you listen closely, can you hear the motor run, or maybe 'click' but just no window movement? Could be a sign that the regulator has failed and the glass is now jammed in an 'out of alignment' position.
