I went on crutchfield the other night to look at dvd navi units for my st. Each one said that ill have to make permanent changes to the dash in order to mount it. I don't know what they mean, they also said that once changes r made to the dash I can no longer put in the stock radio, which isn't a big deal I just wanna know what "changes" need to be made. For your info I'm looking for a 7" w/navi,Bluetooth,tv,dvd,the works. Just if that helps. Has anyone had to make changes when they installed theirs. Thanks for the help.

We didn't have to modify the dash itself, but we had to modify the bezel. There are some pics in my library of the Hubby's handiwork.

I put in a Pioneer D3. Just used their free conversion kit and it was no big deal, went right in. Didn't have to do anything that would prevent me form dropping the old units back in. Crutchfield is good on help. Just give them a call and they well tell you everything.

I just put in a kenwoodvd nav unit and all I had to do was file down the top and bottom lip a little so that might b what they are taking about
