Door Ajar light

I bought the truck with the Door Ajar light on, never goes off, figured I could just replace the door switches. Door switches replaced and that darn light just won't go off. Figuring it may be an electrical issue now and check the drivers side door boot for a possible broken wire. Can't find anything broken. :angry:



Any ideas where else I can look for a broken ground or something causing my door ajar light to stay on? :banghead:

not to thread hijack, but my rear lights never come on when the doors are open. Any ideas?

If your replaced the door switches you should have tested the wires to see if any of the wires are shorted...but it does sound like a bad door switch or wire. The only other option is that the instrument panel circuit board is bad and causing the Door Ajar light to stay on?



It cannot be diagnose long distance...you will just have to check the wiring for shorts and the switches for proper functioning a VOM meter.
