TJR,

Elvis is still dead too, but that does not stop the rumors from people who claim they have seen him, and that he is still alive. :bwahaha:

I have even heard rumors that JFK is still alive but in a nursing home with severe brain damage caused by the shooting in Dallas in November 1963.

I guess just some people have a difficult time believing that someone they thought was such a powerful figure could actually be dead.

But then, I have not heard of anybody claiming that Don Cornelious is still alive?

Actually, he is making history, and he has made history.

History that will be worth studying in 200 years? Maybe he will but I don't think he has to date.

Redfish,

Sorry that you did not know that Elvis died way back in August 1977. BTW, Michael Jackson JFK, Robert Kennedy, MLK, Ronald Reagan, Richard Nixon, and Gerald Ford are dead too.

You need to get out more, or at least read the papers, watch the news on TV or the Internet to be more up to date on current events...:bwahaha:

Just kidding of course

Richard,

It's scary out there, I check the papers everyday (did you know people die in alphabetical order), and the TV news is just a bunch of lying politicians. "Current events" to me is what the tide is doing so I know when to fish.

Besides I saw Elvis in the French Quarter several times in the 80's. I think he was on a Float once and saw him on TV at the Saints football game.

But, I believe TJR, he wouldn't make up a thing this bad. Is my Elvis stamp worth anything?

:cry::cry:

Redfish,

Yes, I did notice that everyone in the obituaries died in alphabetical order...I just thought it was my imagination, but there must be some truth to that...

I also saw Elvis several time in Las Vegas....He is like Santa Clause, he's in nearly every casino...:bwahaha:

His impact on the color barrier in the popular media will most definitely be studied, long into the future, including 200 years from now. Maybe not studied on an "every-third-grader-must-know-this-before-advancing-to-fourth-grade" level. But it will most definitely be studied nonetheless.

I'm skeptical.

But we can agree that he is probably more likely to be studied than Don Cornelius.
