I'm considering debadging my ST. I can take off the ones on the left side of the gate, but I'm not sure about the Ford oval plates on the grill and on the gate? Anyone ever taken them off? Also, are there alternative badges/plates to use in lieu of the Ford ovals?

Held on with a couple of screws, I believe. That's the way the front one is on. Will have to take the inside of the tailgate off to access.

On my 04 the one one the front grille has two nuts holding it on. The rear one has 3M tape with a pin going through the tailgate. I replaced mine with custom made black ones, not decals. But Ford put the guy out of business for copyright infringement.

Be sure to heat the badges, either with a hair dryer or heat gun for a few seconds to soften the adhesive and then use fishing line to cut them off. Easiest way I've found to remove them.

Was the tailgate badge (Ford) held on by screws or just tape and the pin?

Yep. Fishing line or dental floss for the stick on emblems.

THANKS for the responses. My next little project.

Definately check out what SST (webextremes) has for the ovals. I believe you can get a "kit" with three ovals for the front, back, and steering wheel. I intend to do this someday but just never get around to it. I was going to just ones that simply say "ST".

TomT I really like the "Police Interceptor" I may just have to do that too:D

Hey, my car at work is a police interceptor Crown Vic. 125MPH with a slick top and the side mirrors turned in.

I'd like to get some emblems from the Pontiac Pursuit. It just says "Pursuit" but I think they only have them in Canada.

My Escort GT is faster than your cop car. That is sad.
