I got my headlights to come on automatically,day or night. If you have the auto delay mirror,it's as easy as a piece of electrical tape over the sensor. The sensor is located under the plastic cover at the base of the mirror. It just clips on. You can see the sensor through the windshield.

My sensor on my '04 is on the dash. Left hand corner close to the windshield..I also have the auto mirror....
