Cruise control lights

The switch lights for the cruise control on the steering wheel quit working. Anyone know how to fix/replace them?

Smack it repeatedly. If that doesn't work, you have to disconnect the battery, wait a long time, remove the airbag, remove the button pod, take it apart, and change the bulb.

If you have had the recall done.. then your Cruise wont work until March 2008 when the rest of the parts arrive at Ford.

BTW This is a 2004.

You can just pull out the cruise control switch on the steering wheel without disconnecting the battery. You pull the cover off, and then remove the circuit board. It is very easy, I did this when I put Blue LED's in.

Yes, the cruise control works.



Chad do I just yank on the switches on the steering wheel to pull them off?

Just remove the thin cover that has the cruise control text written on it. Once it is removed you will see the circuit board, gently lift up and pull it out. There is about 6 pins that connect the circuit board to the wiring harness.
