Cruise Control Buttons

2003 XLT Premium...



My right side cruise control button housing is loose. When I press Resume/Set/Coast, the whole plastic housing pushes back about 1/4 inch. It just started last week.



Any way to tighten it? I can feel a kind of access cover directly behind the housing, but have not had time to investigate.

The tabs that the screws go through broke on mine. I replaced with new buttons because the buttons themselves were starting to split too.

My moms' '01 grand marquis has over 100k miles. 80% percent of it is using the CC on the highway. They are still in good shape. My '04 trac, they are spliting and light shineing thru the edges,,,,,:banghead:
