Cooling system flush

I want to do this myself but really don't want to splice in a cheap Tee in the heater hose. Is there another way to flush without doing this?

If you have access to a fire hydrant or some other type of high flow industrial water source, just run a 2" line to your return hose. Just drain all of the coolant first, and make sure the hose gets enough flow, but not so much that it blows the hose off the water line. Whatever you do, don't try to clamp the hose to a high volume water line! Before the hose blows, it could cause internal damage.
