I have a small coolant leak coming from a missing hose clamp. Hose is a large hose that leaves the radiator and enters the engine. It looks as if the clamp fell off from rust over time. My question is can I use a standard hose clamp available at any hardware store to make the repair? The hose is not cracked.

Al- Go to a marine (boat) store and buy an all stainless hose clamp, including screw.

Why risk the same failure again? The hose diameter should be around 2 inches O.D.

If the hose is soft, you should replace it. Good luck.

Thanks! Done and done. Bought a pack of 15 from west marine. Took me about a hour to replace all of them. No more leak.
