I found a good source on EBay for replacement skins for the console. I won't post the vendor but anyone wanting it just send me an email.
I bought it for $10 ($15.69 shipped) The material is an exact match to the original.

The only problem I encountered replacing it was that the front tip of my lid was shattered by the staples (why does Ford staple into hard plastic???)
I used spray adhesive to fit it back on.
BTW if anyone has a full console lid top, even just the piece under the material w/o the under plate, (material condition not important). that is not broken & would like to part with it, let me know.
