sounds like you have the proverbial cracked elbow...

I guess it's all a matter of where you live. Here in Phoenix, and also when I was in San Diego, it was always either a vacuum leak at the intake manifold that caused the lean codes or a dirty/faulty maf. I have probably done 100 of these, if not more, for lean codes but honestly have only seen the cracked elbow 2 times and one of those was on a Ranger.
