Got this code twice all ready , what could be causing it besides a sticking Thermostat?

I get it after driving for a while, so I don't think its the temp sensor itself.

I still have the factory warraty on my baby and I also have a spare thermostat. Should I take it in for this or should I just avoid the dealer crap and run arounds and change it myself?

Thanks in advance.

How can you still be in the factory warranty period (3 years/36,000 miles) on a 2004? Did you purchase an extended warranty?

Word of warning: If you decide to change the t-stat yourself and still have problems, the dealer may deny warranty coverage once they see that you've worked on the vehicle.

The p0128 means that the coolant temp did net get to miniumum specification within a specific time. Replace the t-stat yourself and be done with it
