There was never a tow package either but people slap on a hitch and call it a tow package -.

The little class II hitch is a joke. Must be off of an Escape!



I have a Class III/IV tow package on my '09 STA. They do exist.

The Class II hitch is standard on Gen 2 Tracs and is actually the rear crossmember. A Class III/IV hitch along with a plug for a brake controller was optional on Gen 2's. The Gen 1 didn't not offer a factory tow package or hitch.
