check engine light

The ck. eng. light is on. the trac is a 2003 with 80k. I had the auto parts store scan the code. It came up P0171, bank one too lean. I am assuming it is one of the o2 sensors. any idea which is bank one? How hard is it to replace as i only have basic hand tools.

I would check for the cracked elbow first. It is in the PCV valve line under the Throttlebody.

Here is a link that will help you out with photos and the same code you got. Also I recommend changing out the PCV valve while you are there.

I had the same code.

I just replaced the hose with 5/8" heater hose and 5/8" elbow.

I had to buy a package of hose, but the I still only spent $7.

I had the same thing about 2 months ago on my 02.
