check engine light P171/P174

i diagnosed the codes to be P171 and P174 ... i looked at the infamous vaccuum hose tubeand indeed it has a small hole/tear in it ... where do i order a new piece from (ford? or can i get a similar piece of right-angle tube from an auto parts store?) .. thanks

It is a Ford only part, however, many have gone to various auto part stores and bought a preformed elbow and installed it.



I think that Todd Z had one or two of the Ford units as well, (that he was willing to sell).

Many have repaired it with, matching up a hose from aftermarket. Just make sure it is ridgid enough to stand up to the vaccum. No soft hose....

We had ours replaced a year ago, and the new vacuum hose is an upgrade. Makes me wonder why they just don't do it right in the first place. :huh::unsure::blink:
