Check engine code PO 171 and174

OK Finally got the code checked and it read PO 171 and PO 174 System too lean bank 1 and 2. The service writer said possible fuel pump failing and/or fuel filter clogged. Can anyone give me info on cost, etc, other opinions, similar code, etc? All help is appreciated.

CHECK THE VACUUM ELBOW...I believe they are the codes that it will cause!! Be sure to remove it and check. It sometimes splits on the underside. No cost to check it!!

Crispy11 trust these guys. They really know our vehicles. Mine had the same problem and they pinpoint the problem at the first shot.

BTW, how I reset the check engine light after replacement of the elbow? Just disconnect the battery?

I had those error codes as well and ended up replacing my o2 sensors and still the codes came up. It turned out to be that damn 15.00 elbow I found that out after a 75.00 trip to the dealer to tell me what was wrong.
