Check engine code P1451

Hi guys... Have any of you gotten this Check engine code?

P1451

Evap system canister vent solenoid circuit malfunction.



From my searches so far it seems to be an electrical issue. I searched and could not find any frayed wires or anything. I did recently change the radio from the stock to a Kenwood. Could this have caused it? Really don't want to change it back to find out!

first, check fuse 41 at battery junction box. should be 15 amp.

next, if you have a dvom check resistance of the solenoid (with solenoid disconnected)

should read 48-65 ohms. if both of those check ok, then you have either a circuit problem or a pcm problem..pcm problems aren't that common, but can happen

The fuse looks okay. I don't have a meter, maybe I'll get one. Today, my "check fuel cap" light came on. I know that the cap is good, I just replaced it a few months ago.
