CAP - Front Window vs Compession Boot

Does anyone have a cap with the compression boot to the cab? I was wondering how it works out. Does it wear against any painted surface? Is it easier to see through the window? I have noticed some difficulty with two layers of glass in the middle.

The boot will eventually scratch up the paint due to road grime and debris. Go with the windows. MAKE SURE to get the window on the cap that folds down inside the bed so you can clean both sides. then just keep the glass as clean as possible. My last cap was a LEER on my F-350, dually, diesel, 4X4 crew cab. It worked great. Bob

I've already got the cap. It has the window. I was just wondering if it might be worth the effort to change it.
