Can Keys Be Reprogrammed?

I just found the spare key to my 01 that I traded in. I was about to toss it until I remembered how expensive spare keys are. Can it be reprogrammed to work on my 07? If so, how much should I expect to pay to have it done?

Leanne,first off is the key cut to the old ST,if its not then you can get it cut. If you have two keys to the new ST,then you should be able to program it yourself.It is very easy.You just have to make sure it is the same style key as well... Ron

They can be reprogrammed.....but there was a change in style from 01 to 02, so 01 keys will not fit vehicles 02 and later....



Also, there is a cut issue that Blackhat mentioned.....
