So last spring replaced the flex line, front passenger side. the had to remove and replace the solid line as the two were rusted solid. so cut the solid line below the motor crossmember, only place to get a flaring tool in place. this worked until Sept. Now leaking at this splice.

The factory line on the front passenger side to the master cylinder was impossible to duplicate. So ran a tube from the flex line straight up to the AC condenser, then applied a bend and got this short tube above the A/C and turned to the firewall. Then used a 48" tube from here to the master cylinder. A few bends along the way and did have to double flare the tube to connect to the master cylinder. Job done. The new tube does not interfere with any routine service. Routing below the motor and then up was beyond any abilities of mortal man.

Be aware, this brake fluid is corrosive and will rust two lines into a solid unit. Even brake fluid on my hands is warm as it is corrosive.

After any brake fluid is exposed on the car I wash with water, dry of as best then spray with WD-40, and repeat.

Hope this helps someone with a similar issue.

the ST is getting on 210,122 miles, a 2001 that was a salvage title in 2002. Looks good and runs great.
