HEY EVERYONE, i HAVE AN 02 ST WITH 76,000 ON IT, STILL RUNS GOOD FOR THE MOST PART, I HAVE NOTICED THROUGHOUT MY OWNERSHIP OF THE LOUSY BRAKE PERFORMANCE OUT OF IT.i HAD NEW ROTORS PADS AND REAR BRAKES INSTALLED LAST YEAR, STILL THE STOPPING POWER IS NOT THEIR.ALWAYS FEELS A LITTLE SPONGY, NOT SURE IF ANYONE LESE HAS BRAKE ISSUES WITH THE EARLIER ST'S ?

My '02 ate front brakes every 15-20k miles. Changed rotors twice, spun orginal front bearings on a road trip and ended up having to replace a spindle. I changed over to sloted rotors and that seams to help. Check the sponsors for them...

I have an 01 4x4 and got 83k out of the original front pads and at 103k the rear shoes are finally due. I have found with the Ford products that when you do the brakes,do not open the bleeder screws to push back the calipers.Use a C-clamp. It seems you can never bleed them as firm as they were! ....my .02

Not opening the bleeders can be a mistake. All brake specialist and manufactors, will tell you never push the old brake fluid back into the ABS system.
