Brake Controler

I need to install a electronic brake controller on my 02 ST to control my trailer braking. Does anyone know if there is a existing wiring plug for this, or do I have to cut / splice, etc. Or, does anyone have any experience doing this? Thanks for any help, John

You have to cut and splice, I thin the gen2's had the wiring already done and just needed to plug in the controller. Gen 1 for sure you have to wire yourself.

i have a gen 2 its an 08 i had to tear the hole driverside dash apart to find it. sorry i cant help i dont know anything about the older ones.

I installed mine myself. Wiring and all. The provided link is the install kit that I used and it covers everything. If you have any specific questions you can email me.



Also, Etrailer has a few videos on their website of installs that were very helpful for me. And just remember it's the green wire at the brake pedal.
