The extender is longer. The ST extender sits in the 2 dimples on the tailgate, the F150 one will sit on the edge. If you have a tonneau cover (OEM) it might interfere with the operation of the extender... Perhaps you could shorten it, but I don't know if it's possible. Last edited by a moderator: Sep 23, 2005

The 2004-2006 will Not fit due to a larger opening on the tail gate the 2004-2006 is about 5 to 6 inches wider across. Hope this helps. Bill B
