Bed extender pin alternative Gen1 extender into Gen2 ST

For those who are looking to install a Gen1 Bed Extender (1U5A-19G299-AA) into a Gen2, the pivot pens you want are from a 91-95 F150 where the tailgate would latch. The F150 pins used for the tailgate latch on the F150 work perfectly, check out the link and scroll down.

I have a 2001 (Gen1). One of my pivot pins to the extender broke. Just to verify - this would work as a replacement in the 2001 (Gen1)? Or would it only work in a Gen2?

I don't know if the pin would work or not, I measured the pin by putting the end of the tape measure on the large washer and the length is 3/4". I have an extra pin I can mail you if it is the correct length for your application.
