Hey guys, as many of you know, there have been some members that have had their trucks broken into recently. Well I have found out that 4 others in my neighborhood had Ford Trucks broken into, and then last night a sub division (SouthPointe) had 15 break ins. All in ONE NIGHT!!
The sheriff's office stated it seems they are targetting Ford Trucks and Chrysler vehicles, because it seems the alarms are easily bypassed or just ineffective.
Many of you I am sure have seen the Sheriff's digital signs around saying "Don't be a victim, Don't leave valuables in your car, Lock your car, Report Suspicious activity"
It should also say don't rely on your factory installed alarm to go off in the event of a break in.
I just wanted my fellow Ford owners to be aware that we have a real problem in Riverview and to be vigilant with locking your trucks, and taking all valuables out.
