My family is heading to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo, Mexico, for a bit over a week, at the end of the month. Staying in an all-inclusive Club Med, so I suspect we'll spend most of our time at or around their compound--but have any of you been there, and if so, is there anything you'd consider "don't miss"? We have three kids--ages 12, 8, and 6--so pretty much anything needs to be stuff that would be interesting to them too, not just adults.
We're currently thinking of doing a sailing/snorkeling excursion one day, and because my wife is a kindergarten teacher, we're also making arrangements to tour a local elementary school down there, just to see what it's like, and to donate some school supplies. But we have plenty of time for other activities as well...
